To say that Grateful Web changed my life is an understatement. It is the platform that gave me my first real shot at being a writer. In February 2020, on the brink of a global pandemic, I wrote an article for the site, not knowing then how transformative that moment would be.

The book is not only captivating in its portrayal of how one can be drawn into dangerous, destructive environments but also brilliantly constructed in its exploration of identity, belonging and the perils of seeking validation in the wrong places.

Life isn’t easy, pretty or comfortable. In my experience it’s usually a mess and it hurts often. My heart breaks more than it swoons. I am disappointed more than I am elated. Yet I also see life as a fantastic journey with constant changes and surprises. Moving through this complicated world, you make a dent … you leave marks. You take something with you and hopefully you leave something amazingly good and beautiful behind.
